Our Team

Meg Shapiro is a Founding Member of the COMPASS Capitol Hill office, and a Principal on the Top Producing Jeanne Phil Meg Team. Licensed in DC, MD and VA, the Team helps clients in all price ranges buy and sell around 100 homes/year in the DMV area and beyond, utilizing their relationships with agents throughout COMPASS's nationwide network. 

A driven professional, she loves the challenge of helping each client get from point A to point B in their distinctive real estate transaction. She is an experienced, drama-free problem solver, skilled at the art of truly listening to get to the crux of any matter. Clients have also commented that if anyone can make the real estate process fun, it’s Meg!

Meg grew up locally in Montgomery County, MD, and attended Georgetown Visitation in D.C.  A Tulane University grad, she is enamored with all things New Orleans, and loves seeing live music. In past lives, Meg traveled the world working for CNN's Turner International, owned and ran a diner in Atlanta, and co-owned a local fine foods market in DC.  Now residing with her family in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, she enjoys chatting with friends and neighbors while gardening in her Capitol Hill garden, devouring any and every book with her book club, and visiting with family and friends on the water at the Eastern Shore and in Maine. Always up for a new challenge, she recently became a first-time dog owner to a sweet Porti, and became addicted to tennis and pickleball.
